RULES AND REGULATIONS
Discipline is an essential aspect of the learning process. To develop selfcontrol, students must be trained to be emotionally intelligent, live in harmony with others, respect family traditions, adhere to the laws of the country, and uphold ethical and moral values. The following school rules are designed to achieve this objective.
STUDENT GUIDELINES
- Greet teachers and others with a bow, acknowledging the presence of the divine in each of us.
- Demonstrate kindness, politeness and respect toward others. Any form of harm or misconduct will result in disciplinary action.
- Communicate in English within the school/college premises.
- Be punctual. Reporting time on all school days is 8:20 AM, five minutes before the first bell.
- Carry the school/college handbook daily, ensuring that personal information is duly completed and signed by parents.
- Maintain personal hygiene and be neatly dressed. The prescribed uniform must be worn every day, as well as during all school/college functions, parent-teacher meetings (PTM) and visits to the institution during working hours. The identity card must be worn daily.
- Move between classrooms in an orderly and silent manner.
- Maintain cleanliness within the classroom, school building, and campus. Waste must be disposed of in designated dustbins, following waste segregation practices as instructed by teachers.
- Avoid the use of plastic or thermocol for any activities or projects. The school encourages art from waste initiatives.
- Refrain from bringing any item that could cause harm to individuals or damage school property. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against violators.
- . Respect and take care of school property. Any damage to infrastructure or furniture must be compensated for in cash.
- Do not organize picnics or excursions independently.
- Bring only study-related books and materials. Items such as objectionable books, magazines, pen drives, CDs, cash, mobile phones, smartwatches, cameras, or iPads are strictly prohibited. Confiscated items will not be returned.
- Uphold appropriate behavior and maintain healthy relationships in accordance with the co-educational system. Engaging in any antisocial activity within or outside the school will lead to strict action.
- Misuse of social media, including cyberbullying or sharing inappropriate content, is strictly prohibited and will result in serious consequences.
- Do not engage in lending or borrowing money or personal belongings. The school is not responsible for lost items. Costly watches and fountain pens should not be brought to school.
- Tampering with school records, including altering marks awarded in tests or exams, is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action.
- Observe the institution’s rules and maintain good conduct. Any violation of school discipline will result in corrective measures.
PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure their child maintains regularity, discipline and verify that all necessary study materials are carried to school each day.
- Monitor daily lessons and homework completion.
- Discourage private tuition, as it fosters dependency. Parents should actively oversee their child’s daily revision of lessons at home.
- Address any concerns or suggestions through the class teacher
- Acknowledge that the management is not responsible for any lost valuable items belonging to students.
- Meet the class teacher on the second Saturday of every month between 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM to discuss their child’s progress. Parents may meet teachers after 3:30 PM on any working day, except Saturdays, with a prior appointment.
- Only parents or legal guardians may meet with teachers or the Principal. No other relatives will be entertained. Parents should call the school only in cases of emergency
- Schedule an appointment with the school counselor (available from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) if their child requires behavioral guidance.
- Avoid giving personal gifts to staff members
- Cooperate with school management. Any act of disobedience or disrespect towards staff may result in the dismissal of the student.
- Do not allow students to drive self-owned scooters, motorcycles, or cars to school/college.
- Attend all parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) without fail. If a parent is unable to attend, they must meet the Principal the following working day before their child is allowed back in class.
- Check the student handbook daily for updates and communications.
- Adhere to the Karnataka Government order (ED 226-LIT2007) banning mobile phones in schools and colleges. Any violation will result in disciplinary action.
